Ingredients

  • 1 cup pumpkin seeds 
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (enough to coat the seeds)
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Remove the Seeds.

  Use a spoon scoop to remove the inside pulp, stringy fibers, and entangled raw seeds from the pumpkin. Use your fingers to separate the seeds from the innards of the pumpkin. The seeds from carving pumpkins and pie pumpkins are edible.

Wash and Dry Seeds

  Use a  colander to wash and remove any pulp left on the seeds. Make sure to dry the seeds as much as possible with  a towel or dry your pumpkin seeds between a clean  paper towels.  Any extra moisture will create steam in the oven making  the cooking time longer.
